ROTARY

Rotary club is a world wide organization, spread over 167 countries having 12 lakhs Rotarians in 31 thousand clubs .First Rotary club was started in the year 1905. Founder of Rotary club is Paul Harris.
ROTARACT
Rotaract   club is a part of rotary club formed in colleges for students of age group 18 to 30 yrs. First Rotaract in the world in the year 1960 at north Karolina of USA

Now Rotaract club spreads over 139 countries having 8 thousand clubs among which our SSM college of Engineering Rotaract club is also one. We may feel proud that, We are one of the part of world services.

For your kind information in our area Rotary club of komarapalayam was started in the year 1996 by our Honorable Chairman “ Rotarian Cavalier Dr. M.S.MATHIVANAN"And acted as a charted president.
In our college we started the Rotaract club in the year 1999, our club having the following goals.
  1. To develop professional skills
  2. To improve leadership skills
  3. To respect the rights of each individuals
  4. To recognize practice and promote ethical standards as leadership qualities and vocational responsibilities
  5. To develop knowledge
  6. To promote international understanding and goodwill towards all people
  7. To develop friendship
The following achievements we have done so far:
  1. Polio awareness program
  2. Free medical camp
  3. Paper presentation
  4. Quiz competition
  5. Rotaract youth mela
  6. Exhibition fair
  7. Road safety
  8. Blood donation camp
In future also we will conduct many programs through Rotaract Club.
