Principal  Dr.A.Subramanian , was born on 1954 and  completed Ph.D From IIT, Delhi in 1984 and worked in GEA, Delhi for one year as In-charge of Fabric Testing and Research Lab.  He has got 25 years experience in the field of teaching. For two years, he worked as Managing Director of Bharath Processing Mills at Tiruppur.  He has done consultancy on garment washing, yarn dyeing and rotary printing and worked on improving the efficiency of the boilers, printing of garments, saving in energy, rotary and roller printing of tubular fabrics, shrinkage control of knitted fabrics.  He also attended seminars and presented papers in various fields like energy saving, dyeing, garment washing etc. During his tenure he guided for M .Phil., M.Tech., and Ph.D candidates.  He has published many books on dyeing and also attended   many training programmes on Textile Processing. He is the one who introduced stone washing for the first time in Tiruppur for Knitted goods and Garments. He is also a consultant for many Package Dyeing plants, Soft flow Dyeing plants and Garment Washing Units in Tiruppur . He is also a President of Y's Men Club.
