Chemistry, as a pure science, seeks to describe the nature and transformations of matter. As an applied science, it provides society with knowledge and tools to achieve its material purpose.

The department caters the needs of students pursuing engineering degree by handling courses such as Engineering chemistry, Environmental science, Organic chemistry, etc., to various B.E / B.Tech & B.Sc., programs. The department has been working towards fulfilling its mission through a synergic combination of teaching and practical demonstrations.

In this Laboratory the students are instructed to learn various experiments in terms of qualitative and quatitative estimations. Water analysis, polymer analysis, estimation of acids, bases, composition of alloys, etc are some to list out the experiments.
